Hi: A very good friend of mine has PCOS, was put on femara and got a on first try, her healthy little girl is a year old now. It does work!

I am on Day 8 of my cycle and will take my last dose of Femara tomorrow. Then it is just waiting to see if I will ovulate on my own or if I need the trigger shot. Then we will have an IUI the next day. Grow follies grow!! Good luck everyone!

How are things going? My doctor actually ended up telling me to just start taking the Femara on Friday 11-13! So, I am on my third day of the drug and I feel totally fine. I am not taking any other hormones etc. After the scan my cysts were gone and my hormone levels were in normal range. I did have no ovulation though...third month in a row with none. Since I never had my period I am not sure when I am supposed to test for ovulation though! I have to contact my dr. tomorrow : ) GOOD LUCK with your follies and next test!

I have a good friend who had the same situation!!!! She turned one on Oct 28th of this year. My friend has it really bad too, she also has really bad thyroid trouble! She is even thinking of trying again soon : )

I am on my third day of Femara and have not had a headache yet, but I did read that you should let your doctor know if you do have headaches. I am not on any other hormones right now though, that might make a difference?? I am not sure.
