Spotting while on Femara? Can anyone help?
Hi
On day three of Femara I have started spotting. Has this happened to anyone else? Is this something I should worry about? I am trying to understand why this would happen. Do you think it is worth calling the RE about over the weekend or should I just wait until Monday. This is my first experience with Femara and I really am scared it is not working like it should. Any thoughts you may have would be helpful. Thanks

Married for 8 years TTC for 2 1/2 years Have not O on my own for 2 years 1-1-09 Diagnosed with PCOS 6-15-09 first round of clomid  8-15-09 met with Fertility Specialist 8-23-09 had HSG -VERY PAINFUL but everything is OK 9-1-09 Went on BC pills to help regulate me 10-7-09 1st day taking Femara CD 5-9 10-18-09 Met with RE for ultrasound and trigger shot. 3 follies measuring 22, 19 and 18  11-3-09 11-05-09 CD 1 11-09-09 Started femara days 5-9 11-19-09 2 follies measuring 23 and 26! 11-20-09 8:30 am IUI scheduled.

Well no one seems to be responding. I talked to the nurse today and she seems to think it MAY be a ruptured cyst? I have polycystic ovarian syndrome so that would make sense. Has anyone else experienced this?

Ryles, sorry no one has responded. Sometimes it takes a little bit for some of us to chime in. I have not ever taken ferma (sp), but have taken clomid a lot! I too have PCOS. And from what your nurse says sound very possible. Hang in there. Good luck to you and your DH! Hanan

Me-40 and DH-46 Found NEW RE in Florida. History: 2 laps for endo/PCOS (in Rt ovary) 2 clomid and 1 ovulation induction/IUI (negative) IVF1: suspected ectopic-m/c at 5wks (Jan 10 '07: MTX-M/C on Jan 12'07) IVF2: 6/7wk no FtH, 8wk FtPole disappeared, 9wk D&C on Aug 8 '07 IVF3: Sometime in 2009, but only after saving 4K in cash.  it will be soon!Updates: November 17 (New RE Consult): cd 3 E2/FSH and AMH. E2 26, FSH 7.6, AMH#1 = 0.04 LOW waiting on AMH#2 = 0.58 (still low) but better than #1. Dec 2008- mock transfer, lots and lots of lab work. Results: Positive for MTHFR and one of the IG's either IGA or IGE and March 2009-Tested + for Factor V (R506) and boardline for Antiphospholipid Antibody. (baby aspirin, B6/B12 for now) Later: Lovenox and Steriods We are for a miracle while waiting!

Thanks Hanan. I guess will just see what happens. I will start checking for an LH surge tomorrow. Hoping for success this month!
