I watched a special on that a few weeks ago. Very interesting. I tried surrogacy for 6 cycles all failed but thought about doing it again untill we were blessed with this pregnancy. For me it did not matter how my baby comes to me.....although I am thrilled to be able to carry these twins. I think Surrogacy is a wonderful way to achive the dream of parenting.

I would have loved to have been a surrogate. I had no problems getting pregnant with my first but after that I started experiencing issues and now I don't think I would make a good candidate. We now know why I can't hold a pregnancy but we don't know why it takes so long to concieve. In NY paying for a surrogate is illegal so I'll next option will be adoption.

I am also from NY and there are ways around the surrogate laws. You need to follow certain rules and regulations but can do surrogacy. I had a Dr and lawyer that new the laws and what had to happen to keep it legal. just thought I would mention it.
