Hello All.....
Me and my DH concieved in Sept. but ended in an ectopic. He had 3 semen analysis after that in Oct, Nov, and Dec. all came back no sperm (baffling) he had his hormes checked and all were normal, except FSH was at a 9 (which urologist said was not that high). He had a procedure done on Tues. that is not quite a PESA or a TESA, they took a needle and went into his testicle into a tubule and extracted fluid and tissue, that came back with nothing. Now the urologist said that he will be doing TESE and that they do usually see different results on the biopsy than the aspiration, b/c if he was having a problem getting the sperm into the tubules then they would not find anything there but if he is producing it, it would be found with the TESE. Has anyone had a failed aspiration but a positive TESE or similiar biopsy?

Before our first IVF cycle, my DH had a PESA. It was unsuccessful, so the urologist went ahead with a TESE on the same day and found sperm. We froze what the uro. found that day and used it for our first two cycles (both BFNs). For our 3rd IVF, my DH had his TESE on the same day as my ER. Prior to the TESE, he was taking Arimidex and antioxidants for 3 months. We followed that same protocol for our 4th IVF and also had a BFP.
