how long does it take for a count to rise

If a low count is caused by a medication and you stop taking the medication, how long should it take for the count to rise or go back to what it normally would be?

My RE insists it's 120 days but DH's urologist says 90. Are we wasting our time and energy checking after 90 days?

thank you! everything I've seen online also says 90 days. It's strange that my RE was so insistent it had to be 120 days.
