How long does it take to do a sperm analysis?

DH took in sample a week ago. Haven't heard from doctor as of yet. All my test results came back great and within a day of the tests and are posted online. however DH is not on the insurance so the hospital website wont allow him to access his tests results. I emailed my doctor on thursday of last week and asked her to let me know as soon as she finds out the results...its now monday and i've heard anything. Is this common? does it usually take a week or more to get the results from a sperm analysis?

No, an SA should not take a week to get results for. My DH has now had a total of 5 and we have always received the results within a day or two. Call the dr's office.

Everytime my DH had a SA he would get his results 3 hours later. Never been any 2 days or a week.

Only time DH test would take about a week is when had bloodwork other than that only 3 hours.

Will say call your doctors office an ask them why you all haven't heard anything about the SA of your DH?

Also ask them did they have to send the SA off to another place if so that will cause a SA to take over a week to come back but if your doctor office does SA right there then you should already know the results.

Good Luck an hope you find out very soon.
