Second Doctor's Visit

Well, I went to my urologist today to get the results of the second semen analysis. He said that I only gave .5 ml which wasn't very much. Also, he said that there were only 9 million sperm - 35% of which were active. He was not pleased with the results.

I am scheduled for scrotal and prostate ultrasounds next week. My wife and I don't have very much money, so please pray that this adventure doesn't go too far. I would hate to think that we couldn't have a child because we didn't have the money to pay for it.

Praying for you!

With the results you posted, you DO have enough for IVF. I know it's the most costly form, but with IVF you only use the most motile sperm and if you went with ICSI (the highest form) the doctor does the work of inserting the sperm into the egg.

However, you may still be able to do an IUI with 35% motility. Praying that is an option, because it is FAR less expensive than IVF!

Good luck, and please keep us posted.
