Hi! My name is Jason, and I am pretty new to this site. I, like your DH, had poor sperm quality. I have a bilataral varicocele (grade 3 on the left, grade 1 on the right), and am having surgery on the 18th of Jan. I will post as soon as I figure out if it helps! Good luck and blessings to you and your husband!

I don't know how I missed this post. All I can tell you is that my DH had vericocele surgery repair in March of 2005. His counts were at 7 million, with low everything. Since the surgery and him losing about fifty plus pounds, his counts have RISEN to 20 million with bit better motility/morphology etc. We are very pleasantly suprised by the great things that came from teh surgery. Plus the best of all, DH no longer has unbearable pain and heat in his testicles. (wouldn't DH be embarassed to know I just posted THAT on the internet! LOL) Good luck!

varicocele embolization
Hi,
I got the embolization done in Dec '07 and just got my initial SA results (taken 4 months after). My count went from around 11M to 52M, but my motility and morphology are still too low (don't have the numbers in front of me). We're doing another SA in july and an ultrasound..so hopefully the numbers will get even better. Also started taking vitamins (Coast Reproductive - Male Fertility). Costs a fortune, so hopefully I can my motility/morphology to a point where we have better chances. trying since 2004 |
