My husband and I are currently dealing with this issue. Unfortunately morphology is something that can't be "fixed." He goes for another SA on the 28th and we meet with a new RE Feb. 4. We plan to start in March with IUI. Unfortunately IVF is too expensive for us. Good luck with things and please let me know if you have any questions.

My DH has had morphology ranging from 3 - 5% with a 2 day abstinence. For his last SA, the RE had him retest with a 5 day abstinence -- the morphology went up to 8% (and under a stricter criteria than the previous SAs). The RE said that would be fine for IUI.

Good luck!

My husband has had 3 semen analyses, with morphology ranging from 6% to 11%. At the last test, he had been taking a multivitamin as well as L-Carnitine, so maybe those helped. I also read on the internet that there is evidence that the doxycycline that the Dr. had us take has been shown to help improve motility.

We are scheduled for our first IUI next week if we get the all clear at our appointment on Saturday.

What treatments are/have you tried?
