Vasectomy Reversals

My DH had his vasectomy done in February of 2005 and just had his reversal done on 04/2009.

His numbers are still low post opt. 5ml in June and 7ml in September. At least we went from 0 to 7 ml!

They said we would have a more accurate number a year post opt.

I was wondering if anyone had any tips for increasing sperm count and if anyone else went through a vasecomty reversal and how that went?

Thanks!

My husband had a vasectomy reversal done in April of 2008. Unfortunately, it was not successful for us and his count never increased. We had to do IVF and started that in November of 2009 and I have a 9 week old boy now. I often wonder if it will ever start working again. I am not on any birth control and not sure if I should. I guess if it happens naturally it happens although my husband is convinced the connection will never start working on its own. We shall see.

My Dad had his vasectomy reversed about 20 years ago and my mom and him went on to have 3 more children! He had had the proceedure done after my older brother and I were born and then 10 years later decided they wanted more children. So take heart! It is possible. My little brother and sisters are proof.

Thanks guys! I'm scared his count will not go up. I'm crossing my fingers that he will have a high enough count to do IUI....honestly IVF scares me to death!!
