Does anyone know if there is any fix for low motility
__________________
Me: 26 No problems found
DH: Jared 28 low motility

Mommy to 4 fur babies

TTC since 08.06

08/07 HSG Normal

04/08- Will begin using digital fertility monitor

5/5 First visit with RE. Ordered SA for hubby and some lab work for me
5/20 2nd transvaginal untra sound. Very good. Beautiful uterus and ovaries . Even got a picture of my ovary getting ready to release egg
5/28 hubby got his sa. Will not get results until 6/4 at our plan of action appointment. Started taking Multi Vitamin and L-Carnitine

5/29 going to get progestrone levels checked
6/4 RE visit told DH sperm low motility and poor morphology
7/8 DH's blood test normal~ Thank God!! Although frustrating to not know what is causing low motility

Decided to TTC naturally (with God, vitamins, and suplements) until January then will proceed with IUI.

Looking forward to cruise in December
For a miracle

I don't know if it's a fix for low motility per say, but my DH has low counts, low motility and low morphology. The RE has put him on Fertility Blend pills and Arimidex (a prescription that is said to increase testosterone and lower estrogen in men). He needs to be on it for about three months to see a difference...but from what I've heard both of these pills can help increase all three parameters.

And of course there is always IVF with ICSI which is normally used to help people with male factor infertility...

Hello. I haven't heard of a fix, but I just wanted to send some support your way. If you hear of something, please let me know too. I currently have my husband taking fertility blend and mega men. Another young lady told me that almonds do something to help with the sperm count. Best of luck to you, and here's wishing that you'll see your very very soon!

can u clarify?

Hi, I am new to this forum. My DH has this problem.
Fertility Blend pills and Arimidex , are these something prescribed by doctors? B'cos our RE and the URologist said there is nothing for motility or low count.
If it is prescribed, then i would like to get the details, so that i can ask my DH to ask the RE or Urlogist accordingly.

You can buy Fertility Blend for men online or over the counter at CVS I think. Arimidex needs to be prescribed by the doctors. He needs to be on them for at least three months before he will see a difference in the SA. My DH was only on them for two months before this last IVF cycle and I don't think it helped his numbers a whole lot, BUT I do know that we have 10 embies growing right now which is a whole lot better than the single one we had last time. Could it be the pills? I'm not sure, but he wasn't on them long enough to show up in the analysis anyway. I'm hoping that we get pregnant this time, but if not I've got him still taking the pills and in about another month we'll go back and have a repeat SA done to see how it's working. I hope that helps!

Hello Ladies,
I too am in a similar situation. However, I was told about Fertil One, for men. But they do not sell it up here in Canada, but they do sell it in California.
Also, I can't believe that there is no cure for this! There has to be...

Try this site .early-pregnancy-tests.com/

They ship for free to the US and Canada if you buy at least $15 worth of stuff, I know they sell those vitamins. I order my OPK’s and PreSeed from them, almost no one ships to Canada for free so I just love them.

My DH has low motility and low testosterone and his urologist prescribed Clomid and also wanted him to take Proxeed. The Proxeed is $125/mth so I'm considering checking to see if we can use fertilaid or something cheaper. He is taking the Clomid now but only for 2 weeks so I'm not sure if it will work.

Hi passionscientist,
Thanks for the details.
I will check with the CVS pharmacy.
Quick question out of curiosity...is there any side effects of using these fertility tabs?

Thanks,

Thanks,

None that I've seen. His semen has become more viscous (TMI) from the combination pills which is good, so it is doing something. LOL. I know that some men can be prescribed Clomid and others Arimidex. You have to be careful though because Clomid can increase FSH (I think its increase) and if his FSH is already high (like my DH's was) than it can have a worse affect. The Arimidex is supposed to increase testosterone by lowering estrogen. My DH had low testosterone but high FSH (or it might have been just high estrogen) and this is supposed to help both.

I would make sure that you talk to your RE about what to put DH one. His Urologist wanted to put him on Clomid and this was before checking my husbands blood levels. My RE wanted to put him on the Arimidex for the reasons above. HTH!!
