The great name debate

Ok, this time in our pregnancy with my son we had our names set in stone. There was no question. This time DH is set and I'm bouncing all around. So for fun, I created this poll. Please vote for the name you like best.

Those are all great names, Jen. The only thing about Hannah Grace is how overdone it seems to be lately, but if you don't care about that (and there's no reason you should), it's a gorgeous name.

I like Lucas over Samuel, but both are good names. Lucas seems to be one of the few decent boys' names that starts with L, but we can't use it as it happens to be our last name At one point, DH wanted to use at least his initials (JLL) since I have vetoed using his full name and tacking "the third" on the end. That idea fell through when we couldn't come up with any good "L" middle names.

I can't believe you already had your names set at 15 weeks! I'm so impressed! We're at 20 weeks tomorrow and have three to name and we haven't even started to discuss options.

I had to chuckle at your names... in a good way! When we were first pregnant with Alivia... our middle names were set in stone... Grace for a girl and Allen for a boy. We were unsure on first names, but middle names never changed! I loved Grace, as did Dh. And Allen is Dh's middle name and my maiden name. By the way, I love Bethany Grace And Lucas Allen! Have fun with the poll!

Angel, Grace was the middle name from when we were pregnant with Ethan. Allen is the middle name for this one named after my dad and DH's step dad's last name is Allen. My brother's middle name is Reed as it's my dad's middle name and was my mom's maiden name. Neat!

Casb, after so many years of trying we had names picked out for a long time but didn't use a single one of them. We wanted a strong Christian name that also could encompass our journey through infertility as well. Ethan means enduring, firm and strong and Matthew means Gift of God. So his was set.

I have a long list from when I was in recruiting and reading lots of resumes. DH and I just haven't started our discussions and compromises yet. That'll be fun I'm sure.

I always set out to have two of each name as twins run in my family. So that is helpful. Even with one it gives us an option. Worst case scenario if I can't wrap my head around a name and make the commitment just yet....we'll wait until the gender scan or even until the birth to settle on it. DH named Ethan so this time it's my turn but I like them all for one reason or another.
