Name vote/comment thread
Hello.
We are pretty sure about a name for a boy. And fairly sure for a girl name. But we love two. What do you like between: Eleri Arden We like them both and will probably not be sure which one it will be until we meet the child. (and the gender is unknown so we may not even need this) Last name starts with an F and is 2 syllables Thanks.

I like original names so think either will be great, but am not sure how do you pronounce Eleri?

Eleri is pronounced EL-er-ee.
Its an English and Welsh name. Used to be mainly a name for a boy but has become more of a girl name over the years. Although, it still is a fairly uncommon name. It means "Alder tree" and "cheerful". Arden is pronounced Are-den. It is also an English and Welsh name. Also used to be a boy name and has become more of a girl name. It means "great forest", Enthusiastic, passionate, ardent. (we like trees because they are great and strong and enduring and beautiful and calming and extremely helpful yet not over bearing.)

I like them both - although Arden all I can think of is Elizabeth Arden and Eleri I love but I imagine it would be easy to shorten to Ellie

The baby was born at the end of last week and she is a girl!! We still waited a few days to finalize the name and it is....Arden! The name seemed to suit her and we are very happy with it!
