I also know of a family that named their children Rainy, Stormy, Sunny, Windy... you get the idea! Poor kids.

All of these are too funny! Really, I wonder how people come up with this stuff! They were probably dared to name their kids this stuff....but, hey, you don't forget them right!

Hearing the Dr. names reminded me of one! I have a friend whose OB/GYN was named Dr. Hurt. Good name for someone who delivers babies!

There are two OB/GYNs in a town north of Boston....their names are Dr. Dong and Dr. Fingers. (My sister works for a health insurance company and came across their names.) Not the best names for OB/GYNs.

Miranda, I'm so glad you mentioned the Justin Case name. DH's best friend's last name is Kays and he's expecting a boy early next year. He's joked since High School of naming his son Justin Kays as it Just in Case. But he's not going to actually do it. However, his cousin's name was Mercedes Azao Kays before she got married. As it Mercedes is a o Kays! Get it? Of course as a girl who's name was going to change it doesn't make sense now like it did back then. So funny. Maybe we should name our child Garden Of Edens, not really!

There's a kid around here named Justin Case also. Guess lots of people thought that would be funny!!

Ok, here's one. My old boss sent her kids to camp. There were these twins in camp, a boy and a girl, named Male and Female (pronounced Mah-Lay and Fah-Mah-Lay). Turns out their mom spoke Spanish, not English, and when they were born the nurses wrote "Male Smith" and "Female Smith" (or whatever their last names were) on their bassinets. Poor Mama thought they had named her twins and has called them that ever since!

Teachers see all kinds of names

As a teacher, I've seen all kinds of names! There are definitely names that I will avoid (due to students that have made those names a definite no). I often wonder what their parents expect their children to do as they grow up. I often wonder if their parents had a specific job in mind for them when they were born.

There are two doctors that work in my hometown, in the same practice. They are Dr. French and Dr. Fry.

My DH suggested a few days ago that he liked the name Ronin if it was a boy. Sorry in advance to those of you who know a Ronin or have a Ronin. But I could never name my son Ronin.
