Okay ladies, we have a boy's name picked out... at least we think we do for now anyway. We decided on Carsen Allen. We both like Carsen, and Allen is Dh's middle name and my maiden name.

But for a girls name, we are still struggling... these are a few we are considering... any thoughts???

Angel, I have to say I've never heard of this happening before...but my dad's middle name is the same as my mom's maiden name! So they've kept it in the family but using it as my brother's middle name.

Anyway, as far as your list of names go I like Kyra.

I really like Emelia Rose...and I like Maci too...but I think Emelia Rose would be my favorite on the list. Very pretty and it has the classic/timeless feel.

Ok, I guess I should have told you that our last name is Keppler, so.... when I put all the names together, I'm not sure that I like Kyra Keppler... sound weird? I really like Kyra though... maybe we can change our last name! I'm leaning towards Emelia Rose, myself... but Dh loves Maci Rose! Who's carrying this baby??? Kidding aside, we really have to figure this out soon. What happens if we have a baby and still no girl name... ahhhhh! I also think Emelia Rose goes well with Alivia Grace (our Dd).

I like the name Emalia Rose..! One of our girl names is Emmariah...not sure of a middle name yet! They are kind of the same...Good luck on the baby names search!

I vote for Emelia Rose!!! Just don't forget her initials would spell ERK!!! (that is how we finally decided on a girls name, the initials could be taken negatively by other kids so we picked the other one! I was partial to the one we picked anyway!!!)

I agree with most of you... I too love Emelia Rose, it's a name that I can see as an infant, young girl, teenager, and lady. Can you ladies tell Dh what you think??? We thought about the initials thing... but is it a huge deal, ERK?

Who came up with the name Carson? I'd say if he did then tell him if it's a girl you get to name her!

I like the name Emelia Rose too. What about spelling it a little different like with an "A" - Amelia. Then the initials would be ARK...kind of a biblicial though.
Carson is cute! A friend of ours has twins, the little boy is Carson and the little girl is Sophia.

I like the Amelia idea too....then you would have Alivia & Amelia...unless your are trying to avoid that. I like all of your choices!!!

Yeah, we were trying to avoid naming with all "A" names... I know weird, but I'm an "A" and when we went to name dd, we had chose Olivia, but Dh didn't like it spelled with an "O". So, she ended up Alivia.

As far as Carsen, we both heard it somewhere at a festival... some lady was screaming it at her son... and I was like, "Hey, did you hear that name" so, I'm guessing maybe that was my idea, not really sure... but we both agreed right away that we liked it.

Dh said this morning, on his way out the door, I still like Maci better and smiled as he closed the door! So, it maybe a disagreement for awhile. And who knows, maybe we will have a boy... and it will not be an issue!!!
