Can't agree on middle name!!!!

Okay guys -- this may be WAY early, but what the heck! I'm about 7 weeks along. My DH & I have started hashing out baby names. We've agreed on first names but can't agree on middle names. Of course, it's too early for us to know what we're having, so we're covering all our bases.

If its a girl, it will either be Ava _______ or Sophie _____. (We like both names. I think the deciding factor will be the first-middle combo.) If its a boy, Kyle _____. We're open to all suggestions!!!!!!!!!

Do you guys have any girl /boy names in your family you'd like to use i.e. your mom's/dad's or grandparents or maybe either of your middle names or maybe first names? Ava Nicole is cute!

I agree with Devan, I think Ava Nicole is really cute!

I've also always liked my nieces unique middle name which is Rae. Short and sweet and reminds me of sunshine everytime I hear it.

I kinda like Sophie Marie... maybe. Or Sophie Leigh/Lee. Or Sophie Rose...I also like Grace, because it's my grandma's name.

Kyle Jon & Kyle James are the ones that I've thought of so far that I like.

I also agree that you could search through your family trees and see if there is a name or middle name of a relative that you really like. It's kind of an honor to them or their living relatives that you chose the name.

Good-Luck and be sure to keep us updated as you narrow down your search.

Marie was the first name that popped in my head for girl's middle names. Kay is another short and sweet one, but I also like your Rae idea a lot too. Or you could do May, since she is due in May, right? And it's a nice springy flowery month to be named after.

I am not good with boy names. But names starting with J were first to pop in my head as well.

When my DD was born, we hadn't decided on middle name, and was in a frenzy trying to decide what to put on her certificate. We were going to pass down my middle name to her, but sudenly realized her initials would've been G.A.S. so we had to come up with something else. At least you have plenty of time to play with ideas....For me the hard part was committing to just one.

Nic, have you guys thought anymore about this? I have a cousin named Sophia Renee but she goes by Sophie. I have a friend who named her daughter Ava Mae. As for a boy I have a Justin Kyle and a Kyle Joseph. Guess it just depends on what you like. It has to fit with your last name.

I like Sophie Grace too...and Sophie Harper and Sophia Jude...as far as Kyle...I like Kyle Emerson and Kyle Gray abd Kyle Finn...

I do like weird names though...that is probably why me and DH can't agree on any!

I like Sweetpea's suggestion for Kyle Emerson. I also like "Emory".

Sophia Grace sounds very sweet for a little girl name.

I don't think it is ever too early. My would-be little girl's name came to me in a dream years before I even met my DH.

Good luck with the names!
