Silly name ? to pass the time until tomorrow

We have girls names we really like but no boys names that we can agree on. I know its early but thinking about it keeps me from worrying.

We have
Ryan Joseph and Jacob Michael already so you can see we go for pretty traditional names but...
I could really use suggestions My DH is Dean Michael refuses to do a Junior at any point although I keep trying.

My Dh also wasn't keen on having a junior. So what we thought about doing was using the same first name and using a different middle name. My DH is Joshua Scott so we thought about using Joshua Samuel or Joshua Allen (my dad is Allen and his dad's last name is Allen). But in the end we opted not to use Joshua at all because his BIL is also a Josh.

I love the name Ryan and Joseph. And of course I love the name Jacob, my oldest is Jacob. What about Kyle, Andrew, Drew, Jonathan, Matthew, Benjamin, Nicholas...for traditional like?? Middle names were tricky too because we tried to honor family members by using their names (deseased or living).
Boys names were so easy for us and girls names were hard! Dh and I could not agree on one...good thing we had boys!
Good luck!

MaggieMoo- I don't blame your husband at all my dh always hated the nick name Deanie Weanie.

We have an incredibly long last name and you would feel sorry for my dd if you heard the lenght of her whole name Elizabeth Selene xxxxxxxxxx. I like Kyle and Nicholas alot. I will take those back to dh!
Our Jacob's name was easy because it was always my 2nd choice name even when I had Ryan.

Ryan's middle name is after my youngest brother whose name is Joseph Jacob. Can you tell he is my favorite brother. My other two brothers are named after my dad and uncle Edward Charles and Thomas James and have reserved the names. My mom remarried and had my sister Ricci Lynn who is named after dsf and Joseph. So I have to did to get more names because dh doesn't get along with his father or one of his brothers and the brother he gets along with is named Tom too. LOL!! Lots of boys in our families! I love Nicholas though even more than Kyle I think

hehe, my DH actually wanted a junior but I said no way. I don't really like the name Joel (sorry DH although you will never read this) - but hey I dont have to like his name, I love him!...

I think I like Ryan Joseph the best... That was supposed to be my first sons name when I got pg with a son until my SIL robbed it from me over 2 yrs ago.

I actually already have Ryan Joseph he is 13 my first pick too.
My youngest son is seven and named Jacob Michael.

Im sorry I tend to ramble and make no sense more then half the time. These are my two favorite boys names of all time we just can not agree on a 3rd boys name and I refuse to go with Jacob's choice of Toby as much as I love him I don't care for that name.

Mrs. J- I love the name the two of you came up with Im sure it will fit much better than Joel JR.

First, I love the names you have picked - plus the name Nicholas.

My DH NEVER mentioned wanting a Jr until we got pg (you know how you always talk about "someday" before it happens). Then he sheepishly said, "If it's a boy I might like to name him Paul". What could I do - it's not like his name is Igor or anything (sorry to all the Igors out there!). Everyone in my family loves the name Paul. It is not my first choice, but it is not my least favorite either, you know? We did change his middle name though - DH's middle name is Francis and he hates it. Lil Paul's middle names are after his two uncles that passed away (one is my brother, the other is DH's brother).

In a way, I was kind of glad to agree to Paul because I really could not decide on a boy name at all. I like Nicholas, but a friend named her son Nicholas 3 months earlier, and Matthew, but a friend named her son Matthew 5 weeks earlier . . . notice a pattern here? When I was PG, there were 10 of us PG at the same time. All had boys and we were the last. There is a Logan, Liam, Maxxim, Derek, Nicholas, Robert, MJ, Matthew, I am forgetting someone, and finally Paul.

On the other hand, a girls name I was set on . . . . Alexandra Faith. *sigh* Maybe next time.

xoxo

DH is very set on the name if we have a boy. Its has to be named after his father James Peter. Its not a bad name, just not my first choice. Girls I get to have fun with, I am thinking something old fashion.
- hate to think that far ahead -

i agree, there will be no junior in my house! my DH's name is gary. GARY. like spongebob's pet snail. i really do not like that name at ALL, which is why i have a nickname for him, tee hee.
i do like both nicholas and kyle. why not use one as the middle name?
i have my girl's name picked out already (elena kaylee) but i'm up in the air about a boys name too.
what is it with boys names that make it so difficult???

What about morphing Dean Michael together for Daniel? I know two little Daniels, and they are both sweet kids, and think it's kinda cute too. I do love Nicholas, Jacob, Samuel, Noah, and others too.

With my DD I scoured a couple of those baby-name sites, and made a list of names that I liked based on sound, origin, and meaning (it was almost 100 names long!)....I narrowed the list down to 20, and presented it to DH, and of those 20 he liked 2, and we decided from there. We are having trouble with our DS name too because of family pressures....sigh...I figure the boy's are already getting the last name, right?

You guys all have awsome ideas!
Numeria- Hate to say it Im with you on the name Gary. I love your little girl name tried to talk dh into Elena and we compromised on Victoria after he tried to talk me into Jenelle. We probably won't get to use it though. (lol)

Dagny- I was just thinking about that name this morning! Still love Nicholas, and actually I was thinking of the name Sam. Can't do Kyle ds vetoed it he knows a boy who is always mean to him named Kyle.

Josephine- I like the names dh just has alot of friends with the name.

AMKD- I like the name Paul that was my grandfather's name Paul Conrad.

I didn't get to talk to dh about it last night he worked late. He says he just gets veto power. Yeah right!

Thanks you guys I tried all the names out on him and he is being so goofy. He did not like any. He did like beetlejuice and dartanyan. He is being so goofy I think he is still afraid of letting me get my hopes up.

Early on in my pregnancy, I played around with baby names. I tried them out on my dh and he really didn't want any part of it until he knew that it was going to be a viable pregnancy and I much further along then I was before with my m/c. I think that guys take a little longer to get in the mind set of "we are going to have another baby". My dh was still in shock when I was in the hospital after I had Alex. Guys are just weird anyways, aren't they?
