Need-a-hug: graphic picture, use caution

Attachment 45318

Need an e-hug. My sweet darling husband is in CA for the week on business.

An emergency surgery was needed for my soul-mate puppy Tooney.

Here's the damage that ensued today.
You can see the terrible neck wound, but they also had to take almost half of his tail due to another small tumor detected only yesterday. They sent the enormous tumor from his neck (that came about in the last week) to the lab for test results to determine the exact form of malignancy it is.

I've been nursing him all nite thus far, and he's finally resting and asleep (praise God). It is so painful and such a helpless felling to see your baby go through this. He's so dissoriented and can't even see me (through the only eye he has left due to cancer five years ago).

They can take every part of him, but they'll never get his soul.

I could totally care less about my preg. at this point.
There's alway next month. I just want my puppy to stay with me.

My true love Tooney (Cinnamon's his real name)

Thanks in advance for the hugs-
lor

Amy and all ya'll gals that have posted...
He's still sleeping peacefully and that's all I want.

Thanks so much for the thoughts and prayers.

He's been my babe for so long. We take our pets for granted sometimes. He's been through so much in past five years.. poor little guy. If he continues on this path with illness and pain, we will do what he needs us to do. Up until now, he has totally surpirsed us with amazing recovery with past cancers. We won't act "rash", but we won't prolong any illness that can't be beat.

Our love to you all for the love and support-

Poor baby. I know how it feels to watch them in pain and then the disorientation after a surgery. My oldest (who will always be my baby) has endured a couple surgeries as well. Always makes me so sad that I can't do more to help him. Just hold him, love him and he'll make it through. Just like we need them more then we think they need us just as much.
