Weekend Getaway

Hi

So my anniversary is Oct 18th and me and DH want to get away for like 3 nights, take drive somewhere. I live in Philly so was thinking Lake George, what do you guys think? Any ideas for me?

It will be 3 years...where has time gone...my god.

Why not DC? It's gorgeous this time of year. I'm not all that familiar with Philly. Been there twice for business. Flew in...flew out.

Lake George would be beautiful Mid October. DC would as well. I would say it would depend on what you feel like doing. Chilling out exclusively or hitting museums, delish restaurants, etc.

Heart

I absolutely love Gettysburg. My DH and I went there a couple of times -- once in the fall in '99 right after we got married. It's gorgeous, and has some wonderful restaurants and I know a fantastic inn to stay at. You could probably get there in about 2.5 hours.

I am dying to take the boys for a long weekend. I think they would love it. DH and I are thinking about going in 2013 for the 150th anniversary of the battle.

Wherever you guys decide to go, you'll have a wonderful, fantastic time.

Gee...I live here so I've never stayed at a B&B. I'd google B&B's in areas like Chevy Chase or Bethesda.

You could come down and visit New Orleans. We need the business and the hotels are up and running, so is the French Quarter.
