Connor and Aaron started preschool!!!!!

Well, the kiddos started preschool on Tues and it was a very short morning -- just an hour. Basically, the teachers wanted to see that there were no problems. And for me, there weren't any. But this is the funny thing. I took the boys to a farm on Monday to pick apples and when I was getting them ready for their first day on Tuesday, Aaron said he wanted to bring in an apple for each of his teachers. DH told me that Aaron was brown-nosing on the first day! But the teachers got a kick out of it.

Today, they had their first "full" day of 2.5 hours -- 9 AM to 11:30 AM. I tell you, I didn't know what to do with myself, so I went to Kohl's and went shopping! And I was still back at the school before 11 AM waiting!!!! It was too funny.

But the boys are doing great. They love school and so far, no tears. I'm so glad that they like going, like the teachers, etc., but I'm a bit sad that they didn't cry for me. Isn't that stupid??? But Aaron did tell me when I picked them up today that he missed me. You should see the awesome big smiles I get when the door opens and they come out from the classroom. It's amazing and so exciting.

I'm really glad I put them in this particular preschool program -- a co-op with involved parents and wonderful teachers. It's such a relief to know they are in good hands.

Just had to share my news.

So glad they are enjoying themselves, this is a new experience for them and for you. I know when I started school my mom said I just walked right over to some girl and said "Hi my name is Jennie, can I sit next to you?" and my mom cried all afternoon that I just left her. Now my brother on the other hand cried for a week, he didn't want to be at school he wanted to be home with her.

Awww...I remember fondly the day my son started preschool. Like yours, he didn't shed a single tear for his mommy. Although I shed a few. And my son is still at the same school...a private parochial school where he began as a preschooler. He is in 4th grade now but I remember those young days like it was yesterday. Take lots of pics...these days go by fast!

Blessings, Michelle

Even though Grace isn't in preschool yet, she's starting to act like she doesn't care if I leave her and it KILLS me!! It's so funny because when they go through that stage when they're clinging to your legs when you're trying to go out to dinner with your husband you wish it was easier. Now that it is I'm feeling sorry for myself. I just started her in a preschool aged gymnastics class where they go w/ the teacher by themselves and she acts like she's been doing it for a hundred years. The other day I left her with my best friend for about an hour and she said she didn't ask about me once! That kid!! There's nothing like that smile when they see you though. She'll be 3 on November 12th and I can't believe how fast it's going.
