Hey there!!! I am back from new Mexico and the hot air balloon festival!!! It was AWESOME!!! the weather was not the best so we only got to fly one day but it was still very very cool!!!
I see that I have missed a lot since I have been gone! WOW lots of BFP's and preggers here! That is great!

Not sure if anyone here listens to christian music, but I love a christian artist named Michael W Smith! I got to meet him while sitting in Starbucks having a coffee break with my mother. We were sitting there next to the door, I looked up to see who was leaving and it was him! I freaked out and told my mother who it was since she did not see his face! YESI ran after him and stopped him on the street and said excuse me, are you who I think you are??? He took his sun glasses off and looked me in the eye and said probably!!! I said Michael W Smith??? Yes he said! I told him how much of a inspiration he was to me, I have listened to him for a while ( I did not say how many years as not to make him feel old!!) He was so soft spoken, he shook my hand and chatted!!! Then I asked a question if he had been in Pa for the funerals of the amish girls, he dropped his head and said yes, I read on his website later he was having a hard time still dealing with that!!! Great and I brougt it up! He was there for his birthday, he is on tour and I am guessing he took his family there for a few days to get away for his brthday that was on Saturday, I met him on Friday!
It was AWESOME!!!! He just made me feel God while standing there talking to him. I do not push religion on anyone but I could feel the peaceful hand of God there with MWS and I standing ther! he is a awesome guy! It was a dream come true to meet him, he is a hero of mine!!!
Anyway, glad to be back!!

Welcome back, we missed you!!

I went to the balloon festival back before some of you were born... (*&$&%#%&* in the late 80s I remember it was just so breathtaking seeing that many balloons in the sky at one time. But my favorite thing was being there early in the morning while all the balloons were filling up. It was still a bit dark, and the flames lit the balloons from inside! It was SO beautiful!

Thanks for sharing, and thanks for bringing back my memories too!!

I love Michael W Smith, and his eyes are so beautiful I'm sure you knew right away who he was when he took his glasses off. What a neat encounter for you. Glad you enjoyed your vacation and are back with us.

It was great meeting him!! Yes his eyes are beautiful!!! Just being near him made me feel happy again!!! I saw him first without his glasses and noticed him, the funny thing is he was not wearing dark glasses, they were like yellow tinted and easy to see through anyway not like he was hiding his face, they were HUGE I will say but easy to see him anyway, was respect that he took them off!!!

Gemma,,,, sorry to make you feel old :-( but it was awesome to see them at 6 am (yes 6 am!!!) filling the cold morning sky with light of flames!!! We are getting more involved with it now!DH found a new hobby, wish he could have found a cheaper one but it makes him happy so oh well!! It is only money right???????
