Morning Ladies! Here's some food for thought...

I watched Oprah yesterday about "The Secret" (http://www.thesecret.tv/) which I have heard of several times in the past 2 weeks (coincidence? I think not!) and anyway, I am going to try to rent it today and check it out.

From what I understand, it's about how we have the power to control the good and the bad that happens to us. It made me excited to think that I can choose to control how I want to respond to IF, and reminded me that IF is the ONLY struggle my DH and I are facing. There is so much good in our lives in other ways and it reminds me to pay attention to all the good. Don't get me wrong, of course IF is still going to be a major challenge with ups and downs, but this gives me a new kind of hope to change my focus! Does that make sense? Anyway, I thought of all you ladies and wanted to share this information with you. You might benefit from it as well. I will keep you posted from what I find out today.

Our FET 2ww ends tomorrow with our pregnancy test! Positive thinking!!! Happy Friday to you all!

this is a very interesting taugh, what if that is possible, of course i would have to see it to believe it, but still the concept is interesting

Dh and I have been dabbling into this. We have the dvd at home and have also ordered the book.

My BIL has been reading about this for some time and he had some major changes happen in his life.

The funny thing about it is that a lot of people are practicing it's principals, but no one talks about it.

I saw the show too. Let me know what you think after you watch it. I was actually thinking about getting the book because I'm sure I'll have to read it over and over and over and....to get it to sink in. The one lady watched the DVD over 60 times!! After watching the show, I did realize that I tend to focus on the negative without even thinking about it. I need to remind myself to think more positive (which I thought I did!!). What they had to say really makes sense...the hardest part will be changing the internal dialog you have with yourself. Let's give it a try! They did say they had a book...right? If so, I might get it tonight!

Yes there is a book as well. It sounds good. You're right, I do believe many people live it without even knowing it. Just being aware of this concept might help people I think. Smiles...

A friend of mine at the gym mentioned it to me and I decided to buy the dvd. My dvd arrived yesterday. I came home from work and watched the OPRAH program on TiVo. I feel like the SECRET is all around me and some cosmic force is trying to turn me on to it. I plan to watch it this weekend.

I really do believe that our thoughts make a difference in our lives. Even through this struggle (where I feel so out of control) I attempt to focus on the fact that I can control my reaction to this situation. I'm not always able to do it but have found this cycle a little easier.

I have seen this movie already....it is very inspiring!!!
To realize that all of the geniuses of the past knew and followed this theory, just makes sense.
Although, you have to try very hard to change you state of mind. I find it very challenging to remember these principles when I am feeling down.

I know what you mean Judy, we are here dealing with this very upsetting event this past week, we can't help but be angry about. At the same time, we are trying to focus on these principals and be positive. It's very difficult.

As I mentioned before, my BIL has been using these methods and has had great changes in his life, also they were focusing their energy on me to get pg, and my SIL ends up pg.

So really, you never know and we will certainly try. Remember, focus on the baby you will have, not of just becoming pg. That's what they say.

Talk about craziness at Barnes and Noble tonight! I really think Oprah needs to coordinate with the book stores so they’re better prepared!! I was even talking with two guys hunting this down (their wives sent them on a Oprah mission…too funny...they looked exhausted Everyone was flagging each other to this and that stand (Hey! I found it over here!) I ended up buying the Audio Book so I could listen to it on the plane tomorrow. Also, I just looked on the website. You can watch the movie (90 min) online for $4.95! Cheaper than getting the DVD…especially if you only watch it once. FYI in case you’re interested: index

Hi again, well I rented the Secret today and it was very good. I love the thought that we attract what we want to see happen. This was nice too:

"if you expect to fail, or if you expect to succeed, you are right"

I've seen that quote before, but I was drawn to it tonight. I feel so inspired! Today I also stumbled across the book at Costco for about $17 (Canadian) so tomorrow I plan to go and buy it now that I've seen the DVD and liked it.

Anyway, tomorrow is our preg. test at 10am and so far feeling good! A little scared of course, but that's normal I know. I've had some cramps tonight (which in the past has meant AF) but I can't think that way right? Yeesh, only 12 more hours! I have never done a HPT so I can't wait until we see the doctor tomorrow.

Wish us luck. I will let you know.
