I am hoping that the majority of you have already heard of the HUGE dog and cat food recall. If not, please check out this site and read on it. This contaminated food has already taken several fur babies lives. We don't want this to happen to our little or big ones.

I've been freaking out over the recall. I have 4 furbabies at home. I feed them dry food but only 1-2 X week, I'll mix some canned food in with their dry. I noticed one of the kinds was on the list!!!!! I didn't use it too often though because my furbabies didn't seem to like the "gravy" types. Anyway, I was already emotional enough and now worried about that!

I totally understand, I was freaking out when I first heard about it. Luckily the brand we use is only recalling pooch food not canned. I have to say though I am worried about the canned we do have. I'm thinking about chucking them to be on the safe side.

This is really scary. Luckily that dry food I give my boys isn't involved. I went to the grocery store to get litter last night and that aisle was ridiculous, everything was cleared. Hopefully noone's furbabies were affected by this?

Every time I see a sick pet or an owner of a sick pet on TV I get so upset. Fortunately, I feed my boys dry food. I was be devastated if something like this happened to them. It's like you try to do everything you can for them -- you never think the food you buy could be a cause for illness.

I seriously can’t believe how many people still feed their pets wet food. There is no benefit to it what so ever except the fact that humans think it’s a “treat”. Hopefully this recall will push people to feed their pets dry food and salvage their teeth. . . and health.

I only feed them wet food mixed with their dry about once a week. I do that because we have a Bassett Hound that thinks all the food bowls are hers and my lab/pit mix needs more calories. My 2 Poms, well, they eat a few bites anf they're full. Bad teeth, I always fed my 9yr old Pom dry food and she had to have 15 teeth pulled anyway!! but I agree, people shouldn't feed their dogs ONLY wet food.
