Thanks for starting this thread. I miss a lot of these girls too and many more. Seems like a lot of them dropped off after their BFPs but we love hearing the success stories and getting updates from time to time. I'm happy to hear that Ethan is home and healthy. You had mentioned she was having some complications. Hey Lou Lou! Nice to see you. I do miss Julie too but I know she's enjoying her break from the forum. You can always check out Monica's website to see how she's doing. Anyone else?

Well I remember MereMere going to UK on vacation then a breif check in then nothing.. And Slobin keeping her little boys warm and comfortable. I remember last year Julie posting a thread for Ann Marie but nothing.

Yeah how bout Einstein, she has been a little quiet herself.

AMKD is doing FABULOUSLY! I got pics of the new baby and OHMYG IS HE EVERRRRRRRRRR GORGEOUS!

I've also seen pics of Just A's FABULOUS bundle.

I talk to Jen everyday practically and she is in the process of giving birth to a FABULOUS NEW GOURMET KITCHEN! WHOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO! Who says we don't know how to party????? ROFL!

Hey all, again!

Quick update on where we're at...

We began the adoption process a bit ago and are half way through the homestudy. We are planning on adopting a child from either Ethiopia or Guatemala. It really looks like Ethiopia though - 90% sure. We may be able to pick him/her up as early as the end of this year!

We're very excited - it's kind of surreal since the baby isn't growing inside me. Instead of my belly growing, it's a paperwork growth!!

Best of luck and hugs to all of you that still maintain the strength and stamina to not give up your dreams. I jumped off the baby train much sooner that ya'll, but we felt a real calling to move in this direction given the whole picture for us.

I poke in and out of hear every once in a while and am so thrilled to see some of "the pack" with bfp's.

I did get to see a picture of Angie's precious baby! She looked great!

Anyone heard from Ara (Amy)??

Lori, I talk to Amy from time to time via myspace but haven't heard from her recently. I'll let her know you are thinking of her. However, we can't distribute medications so I won't be passing on that information. Congratulations on the half way point of the homestudy process. That is still the direction we are heading but haven't got much saved up and ready to go yet. What we had saved up we used for medical expenses when I did conceive and subsequently miscarried. It was an expensive time I tell you. But I can't wait to hear more from you and see how things turn out.

Eek, thanks for the rx info. Don't want to get in trouble - I just edited it out!! I'll donate it to my clinic - I'm sure they have girls who can use it. Just thought it'd be much funner to give to someone I "know"!!

I'm sure you've already done a ton of research, but there's alot of help out there for adoption funds. And don't forget that there's a huge tax credit, not deduction, but they actually send you a check for a tad over 10,000 at the end of the tax year!

Thanks for the information Lori. We have kind of put a few things on hold for the time being to see how the rest of the year pans out for us. I think we are holding tight to the fact that we now know we can conceive. But if we haven't conceived by year end we plan on hitting the adoption process hot and heavy in 2008.

This is a cool thread!

Many of the ladies from the 'pack' have moved on or lurk from time to time.

We wish they would've stayed with us and shared their progress and cheer them on, however, we are all respectful of their feelings and motives.

I wanted to send lots of hugs to their babies and best of luck to those still in the IF process and continue to pray that one day you may have a baby in arms.

A year later we STILL think about you and miss you all very much

Kuddleygal - I can't believe I missed this post!! Yep, I am still around. I mostly lurk around just to keep updated on what is going on with everyone. And of course offer my two cents on where I think I need to. Glad to here from all you gals!

I agree with Sofia, many of our old pack lurk around or have moved on, which I understand, but I sure do miss them.
