Good Morning-
Below is a little email from my best friend who needs our help and you may be able to help her? Almost 3 years ago my friends Sarah and Joey lost their baby boy Jo-Jo (Joseph) at only 9 days old due to a rare genetic disorder known as NKH (non-ketotic hyperglycinemia). Sarah has since joined together with other parents whom have lost children due to NKH and started a non-profit organization to help with research and building awareness for this disorder. So, if you have an old cell phone that you no longer use or maybe some empty ink cartridges for a printer ... can I please get them from you so that I can pass them on to Sarah, it will help with her non-profit immensely. I know that this isn't really feasable since we are all so spread out but I just wanted to post it in case there is that one person that would like to help. Have a good day! Thanks & Hugs! Devan -------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Family & Friends: Hope for NKH is conducting a fundraiser. There is nothing to buy and no money to give. We are simply asking you to donate your used cell phones and inkjet cartridges. Your donation will help protect the environment. If improperly disposed of, one cell phone can pollute up to 132,000 liters of drinking water. Your unwanted cell phones and inkjet cartridges will be recycled in accordance with EPA regulations or refurbished and recycled. And, depending on the value of the items you donate, your donation may be tax deductible. All of the proceeds from the items we collect will help fund research for the families affected by non-ketotic hyperglycinemia (NKH). We greatly appreciate your support! Best regards, Hope for NKH Sarah Harris, President
