Settle this bet please...

DH thinks it is oprfectly fine to drink water out of the bathroom faucet...he says it tastes the same as kitchen sink water.

I think it tastes nasty and very different than the water out of the kitchen sink. Yuck!

What do you think??

Thats funny you say that ... I never drink water from the bathroom faucets, it seems like it tastes more chlorinated or something ? Wouldnt all the water come from the same place though ? I totally agree with you on the water taste

Not sure what the answer is ..

Since we live in the country and have well water I don't drink out of either. Bottled water for me all the time. The most water I get out of the faucets each day is what I brush my teeth with.

I think it all tastes nasty if it's straight out of a tap. *L* We were at a restaurant the other night and their soda machines were out of order. The only things available were tea and water. My daughter and I got water and as soon as we tasted it we both said "TAP WATER!"

ok well I only really like the water out of the fridge filter. I lived for years in Texas and the water was bad there and had a filter on the kitchen sink. They told me here ( Seattle) we have wonderful water but if it is not bottled then it is filtered from the fridge. I am no help!

Kitchen and bathroom pipes are connected to the same main pipe, it is the same water unless you have a filter on the kitchen pipe. Either way tap water is not very tasty, I prefer bottled.

For some reason to me, bathroom water makes me feel like I am drinking toilet water. Out of desperation in the middle of the night, I will drink it if I have to.

I only drink filtered water from the fridge or bottle water. The water that comes out of the bathroom sink should be the same as the water from the kitchen sink. I would not drink out of a cup that sits out on the bathroom sink. I have seen shows that prove that no matter how clean you try to keep the bathroom, fecal matter bacteria shows up on things. Seriously. It is gross.

My DP works for a public water agency and swears that the tap water, at least where we live, is much better than the bottled stuff. And our water tastes pretty good - not minerally or chloriney. And the water from the bathroon should be identical to the water in the kitchen. That said, I only drink water from the bathroom sink if I'm desparately thirsty (and lazy) in the middle of the night - otherwise it ooks me out. Shelley, now you've added a reason for the ookiness - fecal matter bacteria - blech! B

Our water tastes pretty good. We don't have a hook-up to go to the fridge, but I do keep a pitcher in the fridge for cold water which I always think tastes better no matter where it comes from.

Dh is a freak about not drinking the bathroom water. Personally I think it tastes the same, its just not cold like I like.

Shelly- good to know about the fecal matter. I never even thought of that, but makes sense.

Our tap water is just fine and I always drink it...out of the kitchen sink, of course
I don't know why, but bathroom water skeeves me out. I know it is from the same pipes, but it tastes funny...
