Hi Ladies,
I was wondering if any of you have ever sent a family photo Christmas card with just you and your DH. I have always wanted to do this, but I thought it might be a little weird with just the two of us. I've only received cards with photos of families with kids or just the kids. What do you think?

Funny you should ask. Dh and I just had pictures taken and ordered Christmas cards with our photos on it. In fact, he is supposed to mail them off today. I see no reason why it could not be done. After all, this is our family for now.

hey..we r all proud of our beautiful lil families..kids or no kids...well, its true that kids faces can brighten up a card more that ours would do but what the heck..go ahead , get ur smiling faces on those cards and send them across...let ur smile make this christmas merry for others too

Go for it! I just got one from my friends (they dont have children yet either) and it was a collage of pics of them where the traveled this year. It was very nicely done.

I send a card out every year of just my DH and I..this year it was a pick of us at a luau in Hawaii but usually I set up a funny pic of us (last year was us on a beach with a "sandman" that we made look like a snowman - we have also done funny elf pics and santa's workshop) My DH is a really good sport about doing it and was relieved I used a vacation pic this year (but still funny of us posing in Hawaii with flowers all over).... (he is not big on me dressing him up but he does it)...I personally love getting picture cards and I have people that send us pics of their animals because that is their "kids"...I haven't done that yet but maybe next year if we don't have one yet....I plan in advance for the funny card...

GOOD LUCK and GO FOR IT!!!!! (people always comment on our cards - maybe they can't believe my DH will go along with it)

Thanks for the responses! Of course I have already sent out regular cards this year, but it is something that I consider every year. Happy Holidays!

I am in agreement that if someone wants to send out chrismtas cards w/ pictures of their family, they should do so! Some may not find this funny, but I made some at walmart that allowed for two pics on one card... One was of the cryotank my frozen buddies came in and the other smaller pic was my sperm donor's baby pic. This was meant for me and my mother, and my friends at the fertility clinic. That is my family for now! When I do get pregnant and have my baby, I will send out cards with just me and him/her, or maybe include my mother. Each one of us defines what a "family" is. I have married friends who do not want children EVER, and they send pics of them. That is their family, just the two of them...
So do what you want to do. Happy Holidays!

Yes definitely do it! DH and I send one out every year and have for the last four years since we got married. We added our puppy to the pics when we got him. Go for it!

Oh my gosh. I just had this conversation today with a friend of mine. She asked if I was sending out a photo. I told her no since we didn't have kids. But you ladies are right, we could send one with us, the dog, and the cats. Why not? I have to look at everyone's kids, they can look at my furbabies!!!

We sent out a pic this year with my dh, myself, our dog, and our two cats by the Christmas tree. That's our family now, so we figured, why not?

i say go for it, that is your family.. since we've been married, our cards have me, dh and dog on it... with santa from petsmart.. i love it and i dont care how goofy my family says i am!!!
