Sugar Water to prevent babies inoculations pain
Hello...not sure if any of you new or soon to be Mommies have heard about this. I thought it was interesting. A recent study at Penn State shows that babies felt less pain during their 2 and 4 month shots when given a dose of sugar water administered 2 minutes before.
The study appears in the February issue of Pediatrics (to perhaps discuss with your provider). Here is a website that provides the most detail I could find about it... Study measures effect of using sugar water to ease infant pain during inoculations : Health News : Health & Fitness : Sympatico / MSN
