This is our local news channel. We ended up with about 13 1/2 inches of rain in a 36 hour period! The death toll is 4 right now but there are some areas they just can't get to yet! They have video and pictures of the flooding, it is just mind boggling since this is the highest amount of rain in that time period on record. I just heard on the news Dave Price said "Cape Girardeau over a foot!" We got national recognition for this one!!! (i am in cape girardeau)

Wow!!! I have been watching the news...it is all over about the flooding...are you guys in a safe place???

We are safe, they closed the flood gates and we live in on a hill so we are doing good. Most of the city has already dried out most of the way (except where the small creeks and ponds are).
