Small lump in chest/breast need advice!!!

Okay so first of all I have no idea in what section to post this. But here it goes, today I went tanning (I know a lot feel it is unhealthy please dont scold). As I was lying down in the bed my huge boobies kind of fell to the sides of my body (I know semi-funny but really sad) and I noticed that in between my boobies (where my cleavage would be if they stayed up) the middle of chest was really sore. So I was rubbing it concerned and it is extremly sore to the touch. While rubbing I noticed that on the outer edge of the inside of my left breast (dont know how else to describe it) there is a small hard lump about the size of a tiny pea. So now I am freaking out as to what this could be. Of course my mind is jumping to the C word. I know that I am on the young side for breast cancer but I am also not naive and know that it can happen to younger women.

So now I am very worried and fighting the urge to go to the nearest hospital and get examined right now. I know that sometimes during AF or ovulation, lumps can develop in the breasts. I am CD 39 right now (PCOS and off of meds so who knows what is going on) and am not sure what is going on hormonally. I also just recently started wearing a new type of bra that is suppossed to "LIFT" (you already figured I need it) and it is an underwire but I always wear underwire so I dont know if the lump could be from that. So I need to hear what you think and what I should do. Could it be a hormonal lump? Could it be from the bra? What is my next step with this. Sorry but I didn't know who else to ask.
PLEASE HELP LADIES, I AM FREAKING OUT!!!!

I had a sore lump last month. It was after ovulation, so I waited til AF to see if it went away. Fortunately it did go away. You can get lumps, knots, etc from hormones. Don't freak out, but make an appt with your gyno as soon as you can.

Could be hormones. However it could be from too much caffeine. I would call the doctor tomorrow anyways just to make an appointment to get it checked out. I am sure it is nothing but you can never be too careful when it comes to your health. Thinking of you!!

I have found fluid-filled cysts and had "hormone" lumps too. I have really lumpy breast tissue, so I'm pretty paranoid about what's in there. Maybe keep an eye on it for a cycle like the other girls suggest, but, if it's going to really cause you a lot of anxiety it might be best to see your family doc and have it looked at. I had an ultrasound the last time I found a tender lump, and found out right away that it was nothing. Hugs!

Thanks ladies you are the best. It is feeling much better today because yesterday afternoon I decided to just stay home and take the bra off. So I think it might be related to the bra. I am going to try to wear a sports bra for a few days and see if that helps, and see if when I get Af if it will go away. I am not freaking as much as I was but still concerned. Well thanks for the advice.

I'm glad you're doing better today. I get these kinds of lumps off and on. I know how scary it is. I felt the same way last month.
