My father has been in water treatment since I was 5 years old. And basically it is like this ladies.
It all depend where you are and how the water is treated, he can't say that all tap water in all areas are the same. He did say that most bottled water we buy is just tap water with a really good filter, some of which he tested (for fun of course) and found it produced nothing more than what he does at his own plant. He did say that filters are the best way to go when it comes to tap water if you are unsure, but there is nothing wrong with tap water, which, all water in the house is the same, doesn't matter what tap you drink from unless of course you are using a filter. I too like my fridge water best, and he reminds me all the time to make sure that the filter is checked. I didn't even know there was a filter to the fridge water but sure nough it is. I do hope that helps a little.

Oh, and I found out this weekend that Aquafina water is straight tap water....not even filtered. I had one that tasted really bad so I did some research.
