Metabolic Syndrome X - anyone help?

I have PCOS and hypothyroidism and my doctor says because of my insulin levels and body shape, I have the Metabolic syndrome which is also known as syndrome X. Im told that the deep fat around my middle is the dangerous fat and is the main problem - I just dont know how to lose it ! Even sit ups seem to only work the outer layer of fat. I eat really well and dont shift the weight and wonder if I should try the low carb diet? My main problem is stress and our lifestyle - i cant give up work because of the recession and will have to keep going until we can afford it, but it saddens me that my job is getting in the way !! long stressful hours sitting down and no excercise and time. Sighhhhh.

i saw 107 people viewed this and no one could comment...so i thought i would try to help somewhat. I don't know much about ur condition but i do know that stress is a major part of gaining wait ..especially around the mid section...it affects Cortisol which is known as the "stress hormone" u can read about it here...Cortisol - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
There is no one person that doesn't have stress in there lives but you need to find a way to release some of it. Exercise is good, reading, anything you enjoy and relaxes you...maybe a bath with candles...etc. I know it's hard finding time to do these things but if that means that the dishes have to wait a little while to get washed so u can have some "me time" then so be it. Stress can lead to soo many other problems. I hope i could help somewhat.
