Angry venting

Me and my DF were TTC for about 9 months, with no results... It was so hard on me I was so sad every time AF came; so we gave up, for now.
Since then we haven't been preventing, and nothing again.

I weight 312 lbs, (losing weight right now... was 328 at xmas), and my endocrinologist told me when i was 15 that i'm so fat i'll never have kids (and i GAINED since then!) sigh and no, i cant get another endocrinologist he's the only one around here...

I'm diabetic.. DF is diabetic... is there any hope for us? we've been TTC/not preventing for a whole year now... bah

It's all so depressing because every month I hear about one of my younger friends getting PG, and I'm thinking that i'll never be

Thumbs up same boat here!

have you gotten your thyriod checked? i didn't til this last summer2002 and the reason i gained the weight that i did is because my thyriod is underactive. go to an ob/gyn and ask them to do a full blood panel including your hdl and ldl and cholesterol that way you can find out if there is something keeping you from getting pg. i hardly think that it is because of your weight. considering that this is the first time i have ever heard of it being used as an excuse to not do tests to find out the real reason. call your local hospital for a referal to a good ob/gyn. if it hadn't been for mine then i wouldn't have found out on a lot of my health problems. if you need any more info feel free to email me at tklarimore@yahoo.com.
sincerely,
a person that a nurse practitioner told me that i could die if i had a baby at only 250 lbs. ob/gyn said he had delivered babies from moms that were 400 to 500 lbs.

Also get checked for PCOS. It causes weight gain and type 2 diabetes is a complication of that disease. I'd spent 30,000 trying to get preg and nobody bothered to check even though I have symtoms. They just assumed I ate too much. If PCOS had bee my only infertility problem, it could have been treated.

I have been to a infertility dr and had artificial insemination and didn't work. I am overweight and have tried to lose weight with no success. What the hard part is I gave a child up for adoption 16 years ago. I have a hormone problem but it seems they never can help me just keep on taking money. I hope soon they can find a end to all of this. I am not getting any younger. I've been trying with my husband for 5 years and prior to him. So try 13 years of no success. I do believe I have other problems but considering.

polycystic Ovarion syndorme. It's a metabolic disorder that causes unexplained weight gain, unwanted hair growth and irreguler periods. Benign cysts form around the ovaries preventing ovulation.

I also have PCOS and am not as overweight as some. It is so frustrating to know that a slight possibility is there for pregnancy if I could get my weight down and keep it down. The hormones are so very sensitive....even to weight gain. Your hormone levels change as your weight changes. I have had 3 doctors tell me this.

I know how that feels. I'm 210 lbs and diabetic. Doc says the insulin is contributing to my weight as well. Have had trouble losing weight for 10 years now and sometimes its good other times bad. Last May I was a size 16, now I'm a 24!! it IS depressing.
Most my friends have kids, my older brother has kids...sometimes when my best friends talk about their children I get so jealous I make up an excuse to hang up or to leave.
Docs say with treatment I should be able to conceive but I can't afford to lose my job at the present, so doc appts are hard to schedule...
Just venting. Sorry.

Wondering

I too am overweight and have hormone problems. My doctor can't seem to find what's wrong with me. She has done blood work, ultra sounds, biopsy ect....I would love to have a child of my own....someday.
I weigh 220 and am 5'6. I have hair growth in unwanted places and the last time I had a menstral cycle was 2/98. I am now married to my husband ( we've been together for 6 yrs. been married for 2 ) and we have NEVER used any kind of protection. If anyone knows anything about what might be wrong with me, Please help!

Do any cysts mean pocs?

I had an incredibly heavy bleed in January and they did all sorts of blood tests, and pelvic swabs and sent me for an ultrasound, everything came back normal, except they said I had one small cyst on my right ovary. They didn't say anything else except to follow up with my regular doc. (I had gone to a prompt care, because it came on very suddenly) I haven't gone yet because every time I plan to go AF shows up. So my question is, could that one cyst be pcos? Or are they just random?

Usually they can confirm wether you have PCOS with just a vaginal ultrasound. Along with other symptoms you may have.

As far as not having any periods since 98..yes that may very well be PCOS since it often causes irregularity/abcencse of periods. I would see a doctor ASAP though to have a pap done and to get on some medication to induce your period. you should have a period at least every 3 months either on your own or with the help of medication to decreazse your risk of cancer.
The abcense of periods can be due to other things as well so it's best to find a doctor who's willing to help you figure out what is going on and why.
