2 postive OPKs

I have a tendency to get 2 positive OPKs. This can happen up to 24 hours apart. I have read all of the reasons for why and have read all of the information on how soon after the LH surge you ovulate, etc. . . .

I am concerned however, because we are now doing IUI. I know that washed sperm have a shorter life span than regular, so the window is really short.

Has anyone ever had this experience and if so, when are you going for the insemination? This first time, I went about 15 hours after the first test came out positive. But then about 8-9 hours later, I had a positive OPK again and I'm just concerned that I ovulated too late for the IUI to work. On this cycle, still no , but I am pretty sure I am not . Temps are down 3 days in a row and all PMS symptoms (and therefore phantom pregnancy symptoms) have disappeared. I am on prometrium and pretty sure that's what's delaying because I am due today.

This just happened to me this morning. I got a positive yesterday at 11:00 am & today at 8:00 am. I called my RE office and they want me to come in today for IUI. This will be my second cycle of unmedicated IUI. The receptionist told me on the phone that they usually have people stop testing once they get the first positive. She made it sound like they put more value on the first one. We'll see! Good luck to us both!

stayingpositive - good luck with the IUI! And thanks so much for your reply. I am going to go for #2 soon and it is soooo hard to stop at just 1 test, but I know I should. I am going to ask the RE about it at day #2 bloodwork.
