On monday and tuesday of this past week I got what I thought were positive ovulation tests. The first time, the line was as dark as the control line, just a thinner line. The second positive was thicker and also the same color.

Now because I had a d&c almost 4 weeks ago, I have continued testing just to be sure. On wednesday and thursday the tests were negative. Today the test I got look quite positive, my husband took a look and agreed it looked positive. He said maybe it was the tests I was using, but they are First Response and not all from the same box.

Anyone else have this experience? Am I just misreading the results?

Last month I used the first response opk and didn't get a + reading even though I tested up until I ovulated and then stopped simply beacause I KNEW I had already ovualted. This month however, I was lucky enought to get a + on my opk. I don't know what to really tell you. I have heard that the Clear Blue Easty Fertility Monitor is VERY effective and is digital so you don't have to guess with the lines. They are pretty expensive though. Good luck to you and I hope that you get this figured out soon. Just keep bd the night (or day) away.
Have you been charting your temps? That is a good way to know whether or not you've ovulated already. It doesn't really help you to know before you ovualte but it does let you know when you aren't fertile anymore.

I just bought the monitor. I got a great deal on a brand new one on ebay. They will say brand new sealed in box.

Thanks for your responses. I actually tried the digit OPK back in April/May. I didn't like it, mostly because when I wasn't getting a positive, it was annoying to not be able to see and read the lines.

I got pregnant back in June and used the First Response OPK's then. I'm just trying to figure out what is going on cycle wise after my miscarriage 4 weeks ago. I actually think this most recent test was the right one since I noticed my cervical position and texture correlates with that. I hadn't bothered to check that because our doctor advised against getting pregnant this month.

IMO I didn't like the FRE, I always got a +, even when I shouldn't have. Maybe try another brand.
