I am currently in the same boat. I can detect one month yes and not the next month. I have pain and I have the correct mucus, but the test won't pick it up... Weird!

So is it possible.... Anything is possible.

I did have one month where I couldn't track it at home, but the blood test showed I did ovulate.. Check with your RE

Hi,

I was in the same situation last week... Im on my first cycle of clomid and was instructed to use the OPKs.. (although, before I went on clomid, I used the OPKs and never had any success w/ getting a positive ovulation reading). So, last week I used the OPKS from days 11 thru 20... around day 17 I got what looked like it might be a positive result (the test line was the darkest Id ever seen it, but not as dark as the reference line, which led me to question to result. ) When I called my nurse, she said to come in for blood work, which ended up showing that I defintely ovulated some time within the prior week).. So we'll see if it was successful... If not, the nurse recommended doing ultrasound monitoring for future cycles so that we can better determine when Im ovulating... Hope this helps!

Red face Hi!

Hi all, just a quick question...what brand test are you using? I was told that it makes a difference what brand you use. I have been using Clear Blue Easy for over 14 months now. I have only had one month where I didn't detect - but I could have missed the day that it surged. I have also been told by my OB that sometimes the tests will not pick up the surge. She always tells me to listen to my body - if you had pain and it is around the right time then try to catch it. Best of luck to all!! Oh, if you have a Costco membership you can get a box of 10 tests - Clear Blue Easy - for $19.99, and if you catch the sale $15 or $16.
