Will Birth Control Pills help a LPD

My DH & I just did our first IUI and it wasn't successful we have two healthy kids already but #3 has been quite the stinker! We are going to attempt one more IUI and then we need to take a LONG 7 month break due to traveling(can't get out of it) I asked my RE if I should get on the pill to try and fix my LPD and low progesterone and he said he doesn't think it would help! So I just wanted to get some other opinions. My DH has low morph (4%) so I just thought if we could fix one of us the odds might be better to conceive naturally without having to take clomid and give myself shots!

My doc said it would definately help to take BC for awhile. In fact he put me on it for a month to get me ready for treatments. He said it would help get my levels evened out. I have very low progesterone as well.

I am glad someone responded! I actually just had my last appointment before our break and they did give me a prescription for BCP and they said I will need to be on them before we start my injectables in a couple of months! Thanks for replying!
