how long is your follicular phase and luteal phase supposed to be?
Hi Ladies,
I know that everyone has a slightly different follicular phase and luteal phase. But I'm wondering what is within a reasonable range, to be fertile. Is a 20 day follicular phase + a 9 day luteal phase normal? That's still about 29-30 days. What do you all think? Thanks, fuzzykitten

Mine before starting clomid about 3 months ago was 14 and LP was 8 total of 22! I think the norm is for a 28 day cycle 14 & 14. Doesn't any of the injectables you are on help the LP. I am sorry I am just not to familiar with the meds you are on! Or are they just to make alot of eggs for retreval? My doc put me on clomid, trigger shot, and then progesterone all the try and fix my short LP otherwise known as LPD! Did you do the shared risk program? We have been considering IVF.

Luteal phase should be at least 11 days
Follicular doesn't matter much at all. If your luteal phase is that short at 9 days that doesn't allow much time for your egg to implant. If it takes on average 5 to 7 days for an egg to implant it would only be 2 to 4 days before your next period comes. You may need different meds to take care of the luteal phase defect.
