and was told by someone that a FM will only tell you what your hormone levels are but not actually tell you if you've ovulated. That the only way to tell if you are actually ovulating is by an ultrasound.

True or false? And if it's true how can my hormone levels rise as in ovulation and I not actually ovulate??

*ugh* I'm confused. I'm feeling kind of nausiated and really stressed out right now. No one in our family knows that we are TTC. When my mom comes to visit next month I will tell her because it's wearing me down.

IF can be so frusterating - espically when info seems to be conflicting. I believe that fertility monitors (just like OPKs) measure your LH hormone. When you get your surge (a positive) its saying you will most likely ovulate in the next 24-48hrs. To make sure you are actually ovulating you need to have blood work done 7 days after you think ovulation occured. Hopefully this helps and someone else here can confirm or correct me . Good luck!
