IF can be so frusterating - espically when info seems to be conflicting. I believe that fertility monitors (just like OPKs) measure your LH hormone. When you get your surge (a positive) its saying you will most likely ovulate in the next 24-48hrs. To make sure you are actually ovulating you need to have blood work done 7 days after you think ovulation occured. Hopefully this helps and someone else here can confirm or correct me
