You know, since you're doing a big change anyways, you could try to introduce cold formula in a cup... might be less of a transition later. If it doesn't work, you can always warm it in a bottle... hang in there! cutting out one every 3-4 days sounds about right-- just watch out for breast pain and flu-like symptoms (signs of mastitis which is NOT fun)

Well, from the postings you will see that it might take a while for you to get to a formula that is good for your baby. We started with Similac but my babies were VERY constipated so we switched to the Enfamil Gentlease and so far we are very happy with it. The babies like it. Together with the formula we give them Mylacon before every meal that also has helped a lot...

We started out using Nestle Goodstart and then went to Nestle Goodstart because Alex was a big spitter! The main reason why I started out with Nestle is because a family member works for Nestle and was able to get us cases of formula (thank goodness!!). He did well on the soy. After the cases ran out, we switched to grocery store soy formula. I talked to my peds before I did that, they said most formulas have about the same ingrediants in them and it would be fine. I did occassionally buy Nestle Soy when it was on sale or I had a coupon. And by 12 months we were able to switch to whole milk without any problems.

Thanks I will definitely give the cup a try. Right now G chews on it and throws it off the high chair to watch me rush to grab it before the dogs, rinse it off and return it just so he can do it again.

I'm not trying to talk myself into it (ok maybe a little ) but after 2 attempts at pumping today I only got 8ozs. total and I need 18 for bottles for school tomorrow which means pumping through the night to get enough. ( I am down to 32 ozs. in my emergency stash in the freezer) So it looks like this weekend may be the start. If he has a crazy adverse reaction to the change I can always put off IUIs until November but I am hoping for the best for all of us.
