Ok ladies in this day and age of children snatching and bad things that happen I wanted to let you know that on the 5th of August it is Nationl Night Out. I found out that in my area you can take your child to the local police station and have them finger printed and photo taken to have on file in case something happens to him/her. Not that it will but I feel with Jason I can not be to careful. In this area there is not a fee but I think any fee would be worth the peace of mind.

We did this with Tristan when he was born. I pray we never have to use it but it is there ready if (god forbid) we need it. We also have a DNA sample in his "kit" but we need to update his pic.

Meredith: just saw this on our local news as well. They are having a big party Tuesday am at the downtown park to kick it off and thankfully I had a clue what they were talking about from seeing this earlier today, thanks for the info, we're going to go and get it all done just to be safe.

This is such a great idea. My DH is a police officer and does this every year. I would hate for anyone to actually have to use this, but it really gives you piece of mind in a way. I hope everyone has a chance to participate!!
