When to switch teats?

How do you recognize when your baby is ready for a faster flow?

Is it just trial and error?

I'm using the Avent system. My babes are still using size 1. I'm such an idiot and didn't even check that there were more sizes til now.

Please help!

We use Avent bottles too & my son is still on size 2! I tried to give him a larger size & he gagged, so I kept him on the 2's. He seems satisfied & does not get frustrated, so I think I will leave him there. Plus, he seems to drink his bottle fast enough. I guess you could try a 2 & see if they tolerate it well.

We use Avent also. Brady is on size 3 & 4. I just followed his cues. I would notice as he got older that he would start to suck harder and harder and would get really fustrated that he wasn't getting it fast enough, so I would try a size up. He does well with both the 3 and 4.

i probably didn't switch to size 2 until 3 months? and i also did it because my little guy was getting frustrated w/ the bottle.
