Another food question...adding a third meal

Joshie currently gets solids for lunch and supper; I want to add breakfast now too. Has anyone ever fed their baby Cream of Wheat? I have some here and I thought it might be smoother than the oatmeal I have (Quaker flavored oatmeals). The Cream of Wheat is flavored too; maple and brown sugar. Do you suppose that would be okay to try?

He also gets 3 sippy transitioning bottles a day, 8 oz. Since he gets yogurt and pudding for desserts/snacks, I'm thinking about taking the midday bottle away. I just want to make sure he is getting enough food. With the way things are now, he poops usually 3 times a day...I'd say he's getting enough but he is only in the 40th percentile for weight.

What do you all think?

Blessings, Michelle

Caitlin gets three meals already and she still is eating me out with all the formula. She gets oatmeal with a fruit in the morning, then a veggie in early afternoon, then a dinner around 5 or 6, then sometimes a desert if she is going crazy with her bottles (6 bottles per day of 6-8 oz each). She is eating like crazy!!! Oh, she also gets a little table food (whatever she can mash in her mouth) and gerber puffs. I just found some freeze dried fruit pieces in small pouches at walmart so I grabbed those and I am going to see how she likes them! They are disney characters on the packages.

Hi Michelle,
I had been giving Andrei some of the Kashi cereals, the ones with high protein and he loves it. You can give him oatmeal but I wouldn't do the ones that have added sugars and maple sirup. I am tring not to give him sweet things. He had some frozen yogurt last week and he was over the moon. I don't give him the ready made yogurts even, only nonsweetend one mixing it in with friuts. But that is just me.
You can add boild eg in the morning or toast with chees.

Andrei droped on the weight chart as well, from the 70s to the 37%, and I am trying to have him eat more and have less milk as well.

My twins have been eating three solid meals a day since they were 8 months. I'd avoid instant oatmeal and ones with additives. I'd stick with organic breakfast cereals to avoid the extra sugars.

We tried some chocolate flavored Malt-O-Meal. It is very bland; I tried it before giving it to Joshie and I didn't like it much...it says on the box you can add your own sugar to taste. Joshie ate it but made awful faces...but I'm going to keep trying, with no plans to add sugar.

I wasn't aware that some cereals are organic, like oatmeal...what are some others? Our grocery stores here don't carry many varieties of things; as I've said before, we live in the total boonies, LOL. Thanks for all the advice so far!

Blessings, Michelle
