I got my Britax Roundabout for $199 plus free shipping and no tax. It is one of the smaller convertibles. I looked at the Britax comparison chart on their web site since our suv is on the smaller side and Aiden has to share the backseat with an 80lbs. four legged baby. I've loved it so far and Aiden is MUCH happier in it than the Graco snugride and he doesn't get nearly as hot anymore. Maybe just start watching the online sales periodically? The week I got mine was one of those big sale weeks where all the sites where carrying the Britax on sale. If you get the BRU coupons mailed to your house, they often have coupons in there too for 15% off.

Good luck Jen! Hope you don't have to resort to a roof rack for either of the men in your house!

Not yet but he's getting close. His feet touch my back seat and thus he doesn't have room to stretch up. Not to mention the fact that his straps are in the last slots and he has no where to grow. So it won't be long that's for sure. Just trying to research as much now as I can so I'm not making a last minute or impulse buy!

I am shopping for Caitlin's next one, she is just too big for the one we have--her length up to the sholders is right at the cut off se we need to get one asap! Her legs have been bent for quite a while now, she doesn't seem to mind, she sits on the floor with her legs bent anyway. I will be keeping her rear facing till atleast 18 months (some research I have been doing) and maybe to 2 years. Guess we will see how it goes (like I always say, gotta play it by ear).

Yes the Britax models are expected to go on sale around Labor Day. I got Gabriel's during the last week of February when the Britax models were all on sale. They go on sale at all sites twice a year so you must keep your eye out. This is a site I check almost once a day to get the heads up on upcoming and current sales.

babycheapskate.com

This is the site that gave me the heads up that the Britax models were all on sale and the site that had the cheapest price for each model.

BTW, the site has been a little weird for the last few days so you may have to scroll down a bit once it loads to get to the blogs she enters with the sales.

Hugs!!!

We have a Ford Edge which is very roomy so it fits perfect and it was so easy to install. It's definitely something that's going to last him a while.

Oh and the price is pretty good, $179.99, compared to some others.
i used a bru coupon for 20% off i think? I'm pretty sure they have those coupons now too. It's only 129 at target...

I did end up buying Ethan his convertible toddler seat this weekend and he loves it. However, he's already in the second from the top as far as the strap placement is concerned and that's supposed to be for forward facing! He's just tall, what can I say! I'll find the link and post it soon though. It fits very well in the Mazda, I actually got to keep my seat in the same position.
