wow 45 more days! That went fast!

V- you were very brave to shave P's hair. We too are not cutting Madison's hair for a long time!

We let Madison CIO unless she is sick...Once she sees us it is all over! For the most part, Madison sleeps through the night...there are some nights that she will wake up and cry for a minute or two and go right back to sleep!

Katrina,

we have a very stubborn little girl - when we tried the CIO method, it was torture...more for mom, she would cry and scream so hard, that she would be horse the next morning. We figure that 5 mins of sitting in a chair is worth her little voice and our ears. And with number 2, we can't have that screaming going on.....I go crazy with two crying, screaming little ones.

I just can't do the cio my dh goes nuts. He said she can't cry her little eyes out like that it could be 3 min. he thinks its been all night. She finally got a second tooth!! I was so excited. 14 months and she has 2 whole teeth now. She said good girl yesterday too. Cracks me up. I also have no plans on cutting most of Tori's hair although I did break down in sept. and trim her bangs just a tiny bit

Yeah it was a difficult decision to cut Pari's hair. Sid's came back pretty quickly and lots too. We are hoping the same for her.

Sorry to hear about your friend and her toddler. We keep our pans way inside the dishwasher and they don't have access to forks and spoons. I don't load them until the last minute.

Still can't make up my mind on the embryo thing. Not sure what to do.

Charms - Just 45 days...wow. All the best girl.

Celeste - Yeah we need to take them out of our bedrooms. They just hate the crib...we hardly used ours. We need to come up with a better idea.

K - So sorry to hear about your friends toddler - burns are so awful. After the twins were born I also bought this "protective" barrier that attaches next to the stove so that they can't get thier hands up near it at all. It has been worth it because I can't always keep track of where they all are.

Charms - 45 days - WOW!!!!

As for the CIO, it's tough. Littler ones are easier but even my older DD was a great sleeper than regressed at 2 years old and we had to do CIO again and it was a long, awful 2 weeks but we had to do it since we knew the twins were on the way and we couldn't have her in our bed because no one would ever sleep. Now she is a trooper. Still comes in some nights since potty training and she has to pee and we let her sleep with us after that now that the babes are in their own room. It's a hard, very personal decision and depends on your situation.

CIO= Cry It Out

I completely understand those who decide not to use CIO. Madison never cried very hard or for very long...which I think made it easier and why we stuck to it. That being said...although she goes to bed easy...when she is awake she is as stubborn as they come! She will cry at the top of her lungs, tears and everything if she does not get what she wants.

Speaking of teeth I just realized that two of Madison's molars have broken through. She already had one and now she is up to three molars. She has been MISERABLE the past few days...I was attributing it all to her ear infection. She has been refusing to eat so I tried to give her a gogurt...she never turns down a gogurt...well she went to put it in her mouth and then pulled it away and start screaming. I tried taking the gogurt from her and she screamed louder. That is when it hit me that she wasn't eating because her mouth hurts. I stuck my finger in her mouth and sure enough two of her molars came through. Gave her some baby origel and a few minutes later I had a happy little girl!

Im not against cio and used it with my older dd but... well I guess being the babies of the family has its perks. Tori an Jacob never really went through it. I really don't think there is a right or wrong answer.
Poor Madison Im glad she is feeling better with some orjel. I don't know what we are going to do when all Tori's teeth finally come in.

Thanks anitrak.
I am not against CIO when it comes to my son since I know he is going to give up soon. But with my DD I am so worried..she cries all the times on top of her lungs and once she starts crying its hard to calm her down.

V - girls.......drama queens. My daughter, once she gets going only mom can calm her down. And then she looks at her dad like huh? and puts her head on my shoulder.

Aedyn went to work with me wednesday (we have a toddler school) on campus and she had such a great time and was such a little socialite! Hi and Hey to everyone with a little hair fling. It was so funny! She was wiped out by the end of the day though.

She'll start full time when the baby takes her spot at our current day care. I think that she will adapt quite well and have a wonderful time.

Girls ARE little drama queens! Luckily Katie has always been my sleeper and doesn't fuss too much when she goes to bed and doesn't wake in the middle of the night. The only thing that worked with Tyler was CIO and he still cries for a good five minutes everytime he is put down. Poor little Tyler had a fever of 104.2 yesterday that they attributed to an ear infection, woke up miserable with 103 and got to sleep in our bed for the first time ever! Only from about 4:00 until 6:00 but he was definitely happy about it and I fear that he is going to try it again tonight!!! Both of mine have started this kind of disturbing rocking thing to put themselves to sleep where they just bang against the crib with their backs but my doctor says it is normal and it cuts down on the whining.

Katrina - did those molars take a while to come in? Tyler's gums have been swollen where they will be and he has acted like he has been teething but going on 3 weeks now and nothing has broken through.

Larklynn - Katie still only has four teeth - two on the top and two on the bottom and my father-in-law (dentist) said something interesting - he said that she will probably be late getting all teeth and losing them too which means when she gets in school she will be sensitive about it and she won't get tooth fairy visits until later - never thought about that!

yes that's right...girls are drama queens. Mine is for sure. Yesterday SId was up after every one hour..not sure what was bothering him. My kids are taking out molars right now. They both have 2 on the top and 2 on the bottom..looks like they are going to loose tooth early too.
When can we take them to the dentist? I am scared about taking Pari to the dentist...she doesn't even let any stranger even point at her. LOL.
