WOW what a topic!
Wow Becky what a topic!
I don't know ~ as a mother of an adopted son I feel so blessed to have others that are able to give such a gift. However, I don't know if I could be at peace thinking that there were other "possible" half brothers and sisters out there? That's how I would think of it in my head? What does DH say?

Dh is not overly excited about it but he would feel proud that we could make a couple a family too. We mostly joke about what our head line would read in his profile. So far we have if your looking for mr. clean with fast swimmers then I am your man!
Joking of course but right now were just makinig light of it. My next door neighbors had/have fertility issues and they used donor sperm. You should see how happy that family is. And the scary part about it is she just wanted a tall engineer for the donor and of course she found one but....their child looks exactly like her dh. Super weird!

Were kind of looking at it in a science prespective. It's just cells I mean yeah of course it contains your genitic make up but it doesn't mean diddly if it doesn't have a home. I guess you can say now dh's swimmers are commiting spermiside!

I think that is a great idea (as long as dh is on board of course). I would LOVE to be an egg donor/gestational surrogate but I don't think anyone would want me. That is the most unselfish thing you can do. BTW..I have a mr.clean too!!!

I would be a surrogate in a heart beat! I wish I could but I guess the man upstairs has a different direction he would like me to take. I love my dh bald head! Sometimes after he shaves his head it feels like my childhood dog's rump after she went to the groomers, aaah memories!

Becky, I think that if your husband is willing it would be a wonderful gift for a family in need of the donor route. You and I have talked privately before about my feelings on being a surrogate but sometimes how one feels isn't the way their spouse feels or agrees with. So it would have to be a mutual decision for both of you. Best wishes, either way!

I think it is a wonderful gift.
DH and I are wanting to donate our frozen embryos to other couples when we have completed our family. We still have 16 embryos frozen. We have also considered the fact that our children would have brothers and sisters out there that they did not know. However in CA they have an open embryo donation....when the couple who received them could contact the clinic which in turn would contact us if they wanted to, weather to find out more on medical history and or just to send us family photos.
