Bunni...I have thought maybe he is getting too much milk but I worry about not getting vitamins if he doesn't eat that day. I know I should be cutting out the bottle too.
Did I mention Tristan only has 6 teeth. 4 on top 2 on the bottom.

How many do yours have??

Well, mine's three so she's got a whole mouthful of teeth. Honestly, if you want to get somewhere with the food, I really think you should start by cutting one of his nap bottles...Gerber has some really great snacks for toddlers, puffs, fruit snacks etc that are good finger foods. What about giving him a handful of Cheerios and an applesauce snack instead or maybe some cooked pasta with cheese sauce or mixed veggies? I blame myself for my girl being a picky eater because I was too lenient with letting her dictate what she wanted. My doc says toddlers will not let themselves starve although you may be afraid that that's what will happen if you have a stand off....but it would probably open the door to new food experiences for him. If you can't bring yourself to do it, then just let him eat what he wants and chances are he'll be fine...Like I said, my girl mainly only ate white foods for the first two years but when she got sick and needed bloodwork she was fine. Best of luck!

Connor is also a picky eater. I am always trying to find things he will eat. Do any of you girls know if it would be ok to try fish.

Kate is working with the exact same teeth, 4 on top, 2 on bottom. I am so far lucky with her because she eats just about anything. She always seems to be willing to try whatever we have around, although there are some foods she won't eat at all. She loves vegetable soup (low sodium), hot dogs, chicken, turkey burgers, ham, chicken enchiladas, any soup, french toast, wheat toast, eggs, cheese, yogurt drinks, pizza, pasta, dry cereal (cheerios, kix), puffs, etc. Grace is extremely picky. She does not eat any fruit or vegetables. She might sometimes have a few bites of watermelon or maybe corn on the cob but that's it. I give her a glass of pear juice everyday to keep her pooping! It's ridiculous how picky she is. She won't even try anything, even if I know she will love it. She survives on waffles, french toast sticks, bagels, pasta with butter, mac n cheese, chicken nuggets, healthy valley fruit bars (there's some fruit at least) and that's about it. I'm not kidding!

Just asked the ped about this at her checkup last month. Fish is fine, just no shellfish until around 2. I have tried milder white fish with Kate and she usually eats it, especially if it is breaded. I'd try haddock, flounder, orange roughy, etc.

I was going to ask the pedi. at Alex's 1 yr appt. about fish...I'm not sure. I don't remember from my 1st son!!!

How about something cooked in peanut OIL? When were at the shore this past weekend, I gave Alex some of my boardwalk fries...he loved them! However, the next day I saw their sign saying "We use peanut oil"....I just about freaked!!! I never even thought about that!!! BTW- he was OK.

Here's C's list and she has 8 or 9 teet plus 4 molars, oh and also, called my ped from the beach and he said fine on fish and actually said OK on shrimp, just have some benedryl there in case and not a ton the first 4-5 times. And FYI: Chickfila is also all peanut oil.

Cheese omlettes
Grits/cheese grits
Yogurt
Grapes
Raisins (RA-RAs)
Peaches
Watermelon
Blueberries
All fruit really
Blueberry waffles w/ Agave syrup (good for mom too)
Grilled Cheese
English muffin toasted w/ strawberry jam
Cottage Cheese (new favorite)
Fig Newmans!!
Earth's Best apple cereal bars
Mac n cheese
Chicken nuggets (likes frozen but I try to make them, life is tough when you're a kid)
"Hot Dogs" or whatever they are, still not sure but she loves them
Spaghetti (making it w/ organic ABC pasta I found and burger, big hit w/ the little pasta)
Peas
Carrots but only sometimes and only the baby ones steamed w/ butter, who knew
Burger pattie
Brownies as of the other night at a BBQ where she had at least 20 and some cookies
Milk shakes (frozen yogurt shakes but I don't tell her and she can't read yet but good for straw training)
Fish, particularly out to eat if I'm eating it
Anything on my plate at a restaurant

I'm ready for some peanut butter at our house!! Good thread, I got some new ideas.

Caitlin still has a very strong gag reflex. So, we are going really slow with foods. She has two top teeth (working on two more there) and two bottom teeth. She loves popsicles (I know, bad but it's grandma's thing!), pancakes (no syrup), any breads broken up into really little pieces, watermelon, puffs, french fries (I bake them), and usually little bits of what I am eating. I just wish we could get over this gagging thing!!! The ped said it isn't a big deal at this age and if she is still having trouble at her year appt then we will look into it at that time.

Thanks ladies for all the responses/ideas. Chicken nuggets went well last night as well as the french fries but sadly today Tristan has a horrible cold and isn't eating anything. I tried giving him some ground beef with cheese (we had Tacos for dinner) but he wasn't up for any of it (not even bottles).

LOL!! My dh & I talk about this all the time!! I can remember STANDING in the front seat of my mother's car & her flinging her arm out to keep me from hitting the dashboard if she had to stop suddenly!!! hmmm...now that I think about it, this may explain some things. remember having to be home when the street lights came on???? and I'm sure we all ate our fair share of lead paint too!

Alex woke up all stuffy today too I hope all our lo's feel better soon.
