Will my baby be scarred?

Alex fell around August 22nd and got a black eye. He cried for about a minute then he was done. It was black and blue for a couple weeks and now he still has a slight mark on his cheek. There was a little cut high on his cheek, but it was small and not wide at all. Now the slight is still there and under the mark almost feels like a bump. Alex doesn't cry or wimper when you touch it (he didn't even right after it hurt, which is why we didn't take him to the doctor then) so I don't think that it's broken. When you pinch the skin slightly it dimples in instead of out. It has only been a month, so I hope it just hasn't healed it. Will this scar? I have an appointment for him tomorrow with the pediatrician to see if we need to see a specialist. I am freaking out about it. I really don't want my baby to be marked forever and I feel so guilty.

I think sometimes it can take awhile for a scar to fade out completely. Check with your pediatrician tomorrow and ask about Mederma for kids to help it fade quicker. I'm sure there's nothing major to worry about.
