Em - good luck with the exercises! I hope that is all you have to do b/c I heard that the plegio helmets are really expensive, and of course, not covered by insurance.

Roxy - good luck with the no dairy diet and remember you've gotta do whats right for you, so don't feel guilty.

Oh, Em I would just like to laugh at the fact that you, Miss "I could never boobie feed, yuck" is still going strong and "boobiefeeding" everyday...

Oh, Austin had his 4 mth appointment on Friday. Height 26 1/4 inches (although when I measured him at home the week before he was 26 1/2) & 13.5 lbs. (told you he was skinny)!!

Oh and hello... he has started walking. No SH*T!!! He did the whole baby reaction walking thing up until about 1 1/2 - 2 mths and then nothing. For the past 4 days if you put his feet on the ground and hold his fingers, he will wait for a little while, look at his feet and start freaking walking!!!! SO NOT COOL!!!. The doctor saw it on Friday and said, "Yep, looks like he is starting to walk." OMG!! I can not have a walking infant!! D*MN MY DH!!! He started walking at like 7 - 8 months and fell down so often, he got the nickname "booboo"

UGHHHHH.......

amanda - what the crap, i would be freaking out too that your LO is already walking. i am having trouble getting Lyla to just to sit up. good luck and i am sure that he will have a lot of fun having you chase after him

Em - i hope that things went well with the doc, how is the boobie doing? i had a lump removed when i was 16, so i know how much it can suck, i hope that things work out for you. and good luck with PJ, i hope the exercises work, i couldn't imagine doing the helmet, but whatever is best, right?!!

Kelli - i don't think that it is bad to feed one ceral and not the other, i am sure they are going to be compared against one another their entire lives and they are going to do things at different times, i am sure that it is hard but congrats on getting to another milestone!

AFM - i have to say that i love motherhood!!! in the last 24 hours i have had all bodily fluids on me - pee, vomit, poop and spit - i had to change three times yesterday and i loved every minute of it! i hope that you all have a great week

Uggghhhh... I seriously want to bang my head against the wall thinking about him walking. Right now it is not so bad because he needs your fingers to balance, but I don't know how long that will last.

History - Austin can stand really well, but sitting is pretty funny. He will be good for like a minute or so and then...... splat! He tips over to one side or the other. It's actually pretty funny. I guess I should get him the bumbo seat to keep him upright.

How do you help the babies develop the correct muscles for sitting up on their own ? I just let them sit and kind of hold them up at the same time ? What do you guy's do ...

Kelli - we do some modified "pull ups" where he grabs my finger and pulls himself up to a sitting position. He also loves to pull up from laying down to standing up, so I think it strengthens his leg and back muscles.

I don't know if this has anything to do with helping him sit up, but he likes it either way and it can't hurt.

So Garrett had his 4 month needles today. He is 23 inches long (shortie) and 15lbs. That leaves him in the 3rd percentile for his height and 35th for his weight. Poor little guy's noggin is 85%!! And he is still the cutest baby in the world (sorry girls...haha).

Hi ladies. I have been MIA for a while. Last week we had to make an emergency trip out to Alabama because my brother in law was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He had brain surgery last Tuesday and was released this past Tuesday. Unfortunately, he is back in the hospital as of last night. Within minutes of waking up from his surgery, he was asking for Alexander - didn't ask for me. The doctors were very accomodating and allowed Alexander to go back to ICU to visit his uncle. I think having Alexander at the hospital made my BIL's recovery a little better.

I am going to have to go back and read everyone's post, but I hope all is ok. Does anyone have big Thanksgiving day plans? We are flying out to California on Wednesday. I am so nervous about the flight. I hope Alexander makes it through ok. Our longest stretch is 4 hours.

Also, are there any Christmas traditions you all plan on starting with your little ones. I would like to do something, but can't think of what I want to do yet. Any suggestions?

Ok, I have to get some grading done before I leave work for the day. Happy Friday!

We started Leah on solids today. We gave her baby oatmeal and she loved it. She would eat great from the spoon and when she finished would open her mouth wide for more. It was such an exciting milestone for her.

She also rolled over this week but hasn't done it since. I had her on her belly and turned away and when I looked back she was on her back.
